Though the brand technically started in 1882, it wasn’t until 1908 that Zodiac became the official name of the Le Locle, Switzerland-based watch company. 

Originally known primarily for their innovative movements and pocket watch designs, Zodiac became a highly respected name within the sports and diving watch ranks in the ‘50s and ‘60s. This was mostly thanks to models like the iconic Sea Wolf, one of the first watches purpose-built for diving and other underwater pursuits, and which became favorites among early SCUBA divers and American soldiers in the Vietnam War. 

In 2015, the brand decided to dig into their back catalog and re-release a new Super Sea Wolf collection as an homage to those early trailblazers.

Inspired by the original Sea Wolf's release date in 1953 and the vivid hues of the ocean deep, this exclusive Super Sea Wolf 53 Compression features a bold blue and champagne dial surrounded by a dark, glossy bezel, a classic brushed stainless steel case, which holds Zodiac’s iconic Swiss-made STP 3-13 automatic movement, and a sporty black rubber strap.
